I’ve been reading about Chinese Drywall so I can bring you the latest news. Now I see the Sun Sentinel has an article comparing the drywall to a “Silent Hurricane”. And how it could be impacting 100,000’s of homes. The authors, the Mayor of Ft. Lauderdale, a city whose home have been hit by this Hurricane, and a trial lawyer figured out the solution:

First, the government must provide assistance where builders and others are refusing to accept responsibility…

Second, we need to immediately bring together all industries and those affected so we can devise a consensus protocol for rebuilding…

Third, we need to make sure rebuilding does not cause more problems

Whatever the solution is it needs to come quickly. Since companies and government are “Investigating”, home owners are stuck costs of cleaning up the smell, the corroding electrical copper wires and air conditioning coils.
